The first glimpse of the castle will bring back powerful narrative moments. The grandiose silhouette surrounded by imposing mountains creates a memorable landscape. The Castle is actually a medial fortress build in the 14th century by the peasants of Brasov to protect their commercial interest in the region against Ottomans or Tartars invasions. The fortress was reinforced, changed and repaired during time. In 1920, the castle become a residence of Queen Maria of Romania. Every corner, room or defense wall has its own history and role during time and of course, real documented facts are mixed with legends and stories. Bran Castle, the real name of Dracula’s Castle is impressive both outside and inside. Even this is the main attraction of our tour, the day is far from ending here. Close to Bran is Brasov, one of the most beautiful cities of Romania with the Black Church, historical center, medieval buildings, the City Walls and the Black and White Towers that offer a splendid panoramic view over the Old Town of Brasov.
